Has it occurred to anyone that with each wave of election change our options likewise change?
Here is a "for instance". During an election that is won by Democrats, the social programs are enlarged, expanded, and used heavily. In an election won by Republicans, some social programs are downsized or in some way made available to fewer members of society. Then the economy is jump started and business hums. And business is not grown because those programs are downsized. Rather business leaders and small business can focus on growth and jobs.
Or it has until the recent past when the second Bush was found deficient in how his administration handled large corporations and their abuse of the economy.
It might be wise to allow a new Republican an opportunity to jump start this economy. Then hold his feet to the fire requiring changes to how the corporations are allowed to interfere with both politics and the economy. We are somewhat wiser now, and we have more information and more means to get information. This should allow us a better hold on what is done in Congress, in our name.
When the economy is thriving and money is readily available the citizens are in a more generous mood. As a result, the social programs are not bandied about as though hot potatoes. They are utilized by those truly in need. The general population is working at jobs or positions which are comenserate with their education. They are confident, in the ability of the country to produce more than we need so we are in a position to share.
When the country is in dire straights, as it is now, a Democrat cannnot move the country forward. And this is not because a Democrat wishes the country ill. No, it is because that party puts it's emphasis on government programs. Government does not create jobs that make the GNP increase. It cannot.
But government can utilize regulations, taxes and arbitrary rules to control what goes on in the private sector.
And Democrats do that to excess. That is what is happening now. It is counterproductive when this nation is close to bankruptcy. We are now.
Are regulations necessary to control how business functions and how it treats its employees? You bet. Excessive regulations and costs, however, are not.
There is a middle ground that must be found and incorporated into our lives.
Federal elected officials must follow the same laws we do. They must not be allowed to exempt themselves from insider trading. They must not be allowed to utilize funds for their own purposes that have been set aside for certain programs. Laws should be introduced to make such misuse, a felony.
I think most Americans understand this. Most Americans live within a budget. They have to. When they get too depressed they tend to drink more and use drugs more to dull the sense of hopelessness they feel. That is what is happening now. It also has increased the tendency to kill our fellow citizens in frustration.
Does not make it right. Never will.
So this election is critical for many reasons. A Republican is more likely to force an improvement in our economy by virtue of the free enterprize system upon which we were founded. Jobs, income, steady growth. Then, if in four years a need for better social programs is called for, vote for a Democrat.
As for the kind of upscale jobs that would be available keep in mind that clean energy is still viable, whether a Democrat or Republican is in office. The man in the White House now, encouraged money to companies that are now bankrupt and this includes Solyndra. His skills in the area of job creation are nonexistant. And his regulations did nothing to keep them in business.
While a businessman like Gov. Romney may not understand the social programs he does know how to start and keep business going and when to shut down a business that is not successful either because a union is too strong or the market is not there to maintain it. We need to recognize the difference in job skills and elect a president who can respond to our needs.
These are just notes to key into differences in ability and aptitude.
Perhaps in 2016 we will be far enough along to vote Democratic. For now, I think Republican leaders are necessary to move us away from the threat of bankruptcy and closer to independence from China.
This update: After I threw up I went to bed when I realized that Mr. Obama was likely to get reelected. I can't say "win" because he is a poeser, a loser mascarading as an American. He is a socialist with an agenda to match. His friends are communists, marxists, and socialists. His contacts, those who taught him are communists, marxists, and socialists.
He distains Constitutional law in favor of usurping that document and forcing his will upon this nation. And there are those gullible so called Americans who have agreed with his idea of a socialist nation. Those who want a nation of "gimmees" Those who need their diaper changed and their beds made and they do not trust themselves to get the job done.
First thing I want to say to you is this; DO NOT STAND FOR THE PLEDGE OF ALLIGIENCE ANYMORE. You obviously do not believe in the republic. To do so would be blatant lying, a slap in the face of all those believe in free enterprise and in doing the job yourselves.
To those Mexicans and those so called, Latino of Mexican extraction, who live here. You left Mexico because you have and had a president and government which gave you little and took everything else. You came here to improve your situation and your chances of a better life. Yet many of you, a great many of you have voted for the kind of president who values the same things your presidents of old valued. That is a government that is greater than the people who inhabit the country.
So I ask you; what the heck were you thinking?
And the blacks of this nation. Those who came here not of your own free will, or at least your antecedents did, has your lot improved since this man was first elected? Are you moving on up to the east side by your own efforts, as Geo. Jefferson did in the t.v. show.
Are you any better off, really? The answer is no, hell, no. Those who got sub par home loans in the Bush era did so not because the banks wanted you to get them, the money would be wasted because most of you do not yet have an idea of how to care for your own things and you live in an environment that does not encourage pride in your own efforts. That is partly the fault of this system and partly because there are those who want you dependent. Once you start thinking for yourself, you wont need that government help, as much.
Deny all you care to. Fact is, this is fact.
And many of those banks failed. And why, because you welched on your loans, the banks had to take them back and could not turn them into the cash to cover the loans. Fannie and Freddie can take a bow for that one, and oh, they were and are run by Dems, who still want and need your dependence.
But the super banks, now protected by this administration are "too big to fail". They are in the pocket of government officials. Doubt me? Check it out.
I will tell you that when we err we err in a huge way.
If you feel that I am denigrating you and insulting your intelligence, then you are making a mistake. I am simply telling you that you made a mistake of huge proportions that will change the face of this nation for all time. We are no longer a nation of people who can do. We are a nation of people who want it done for them. Shame on us. Shame on all of us.
